That is good news. There just was a funny article I read about a year ago that I think may of mentioned CFers having poorer muscle strength. I must of misunderstood it or mistook it or something which is entirely possible. My son just isn't athletically gifted I guess.

I believe the article you are referring to talks about us loosing muscle mass more easily but I am a bit foggy on it as well.

That being said I just wanted to chime in that even if it *was* affected I would not mention it or even treat him differently either way. I dont believe in using CF as a 'crutch' and I see so many parents that dont have their kids run in gym class because they are fat with the excuse that they have 'asthma'. I am not saying there is never a case when as a parent you dont exclude your kid from something based on physical handicap BUT that being said my neighbor kid gets picked up on the handicap bus due to morbid obesity. Ugh dont get me going. This isnt the point of my reply, the point is if he DOES have shortcomnigs just work with him dont let him get the feeling you think its from CF and set him up for a defeatist mentality.

I was a cheerleader and we had to do push ups at practice.. I became pretty good at them (personally thought I was one on of the best at them b/c i thought I was pretty flat rather than like a 'v' with my butt in the air)... granted if you woulda asked me to do a pull up and you woulda been outta luck <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0"> like piper said, I sucked at the pull up/chin up, so i just did the timed stay where you are thing haha which is really the bicep still rather than the tricep...

Just takes time to build up, I imagine its just b/c he hasnt been using his upper body as much as his lower body. And most people have piss-poor triceps the way i understand it.
