Be prepared for some hot flashes! That was the worst part of the clomid for me. Are you diabetic? I'm not, but my husband is and so I took some of his glucophage along with the clomid (at my OBs OK) because glucophage can increase ovultion (somehow). Are you giving yourself the HCG trigger? The needle is scary, but it isn't that bad. As far as IUI - don't have sex the night before it, but have sex the night of it and the day after as well. I also laid upside down in my OBS office for like 20 minutes after. I had 2 IUIs and got pregnant with each one (the first ended in m/c - but thst had nothing to do with the IUI itself, just a blighted ovum, the second one is now twenty months old and screaming "mommeeee" right now!) Good luck!

oh no no girl, insist on a follicle study! You don't know how you will respond to the clomid (for example, my first round was 50mg and I only had one egg, the second round was 150mg and I had two eggs, but at 150mg I had four eggs) - you don't want to waste your money on an IUI if you aren't respoding well to the clomid. Also, after the follicle study is when you should have the HCG shot. Are you seeing an OB or RE for this? I can't believe they are having you use OPKs. Definitely talk to your doc. Clomid can hyperstimulate some women too, so you need to know what is going on in there!
