eclipse balls for tobra?

come to think of it, i was on tobra with an iv push over a half hour (don't worry, i used a little machine to do it... i didn't have to sit there pushing it) and that was just out of a large syringe! so, even less saline to dilute it (although i think it was only 250 mL or something at that time)... anyway, just thought of that since i was thinking whether i've always had tobra in a "small" delivery method.

best of luck!

My doctor has never mentioned you can just get a larger dose once a day. I will definitely be bringing it up the next time I'm on i.v.s. Once a day is definitely much better than three. Thanks for the input! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

I have used the eclipse balls and hope I will never have to do it any other way again!
I love them. They are simple and so easy to use. I would think even better for a child because there is no way that it can feed large amounts of air as gravity or syringe.
I highly recommend them!
I have never been told they are unstable but I do know they are more money.
Maybe check with another home pharmacy

I requested the "balls" for my last two iv drugs ) meropenem and Zosyn) I was told by Chartwell that they don't use the balls for anything anymore. because they were not reliable, I asked if it was really a cost thing, but the home care nurses confirmed that they are not using them anymore. I ended up with iv push for the meropenem, which was great the dose only took 5min. The zosyon went on a syringe pump and took more like 45 min, I was not happy but it was better than a iv pole with gravity or or pump
