Try a different fruit. besides applesauce, many I have used both babyfoor pears and peaches. My daughter (4 w/CF) still won't swallow them so she gets them in her peaches.Andrea

Forgot to say they can't co in the milk because they will start to digest the milk before it gets into the stomach (also it would taste nasty)

Hi, Are the enzymes microsperes or powder inside the capsule? When my now 12 yr. old was an infant she took Cotyzme which is a powder in a capsule. I was instructed to open the capsule into about a tsp. or Tbls. of formula and feed that to her immediatly, then give her formula. At about a year I was switched to Pancrease which has the microspheres. Then I opened those up and sprinkled that onto what ever she was eating, cereal or fruit. She took that pretty good. When my older daughter was first diagnosed at 3 (The baby was just born the following week), she had "sprinkles" (the microspheres) on her ice cream before every single meal. She had to eat the sprinkles first, and many times I added regular sprinkles because they had color. I don't recall ever having a rebellion problem with my youngest but maybe that is because her big sister had them too. Try making a game of it, or special treat because she gets desert first. Good luck!Liza

Try mixing up baby cereal and just water (ie. instead of milk or formula) - the cereal is thick and hides the "grainy" texture of the enzymes pretty well and with just water in it, it doesn't have any fat or protien in it. Hope you find something that works. --Katrina

My son was 18 mos. when he was first dx. We found that babyfood bananas or pudding working better when he would fuss as it was thicker and he didn't seem to be as bothered. Hope this helps.

Have you tried putting them on a peanut butter and jelly sandwich or butter bread. I will pour one/two capsules in the center of the folded sandwich and make sure my daugther who is 19 months takes that bite first. It works pretty well. My daughter also like syrup so when we have pancakes I will pour the syrup in a spoon with the enzymes in them. Hope that helps. Good Luck. Angie

Hi,My daughter is 15 months old and here's what I've had to do... she usually takes it in applesauce, but she also does well with catsup (although I think it's gross) and jelly. those are the ONLY thing our drs. let her take them in, because of the acididy. She also is not allowed to take it in pbj sandwiches or anything that she might chew.hope this helps.
