Another pre-digested formula is Pregestimil. It's what I ate when I was a baby.

So does Emily take KU-ZYME as her enzyme during the day as well? Marissa uses Ultrase MT 20. I wonder if they would need to change that.

No kidding getting up every 2 hours isn't good for someone. I don't know how they do it, the parents or the children. If my feet hit the floor it takes me an hour to go back to sleep. The kids must feel the drain as well, they have to be awake enough to swallow and drink. There are so many things that your body does at night to keep you healthy that don't even start until after you have been asleep for 3-4 hours. Everyone's health is in jeopardy that way. You would think the doctors would not need to be asked for alternatives, they would just know that waking up that many time a night on top of everything else is difficult.

Have you tried Viokase? It is a powdered enzyme that some mix with formula. You can also just wake up yourself to give it during the night. Your son should not wake up while you give it by syringe.

I use Viokase a little differently. My daughter had really bad gas the next day after her feedings. I was also really wanted to sleep through the night. So I know have two feeding pumps. One is for formula and the other is for enzymes. I use a Y tube connection and pump 2cc of the liquid enzymes an hour. It works well, but it is a little expensive. I had to purchase the second feeding pump. Also insurance does not pay for the second feeding bag I use a night. Sophia doesn't have any problems with gas now and I can sleep the whole night.

Unless something has changed, you have to take enzymes with pregestimil and I suspect with any of the other formula's as well.

Since being on Pancreacarb MS-8/16, we have never had to wake our kiddo up to take enzymes with his feeds. He would take 7 at the beginning of the feed and 7 in the mornig when he woke up. However, if he got up to go to the bathroom he would try to remember to grab a couple more, but never had to or were told to wake him up to give them. Nor did they ever wake him up when he was in the hospital having a tune-up to take more enzymes. Though I believe that the pancreacarb has a longer working time than just 2 hours. All of the pieces in the capsule are all different sizes releasing at different times after taking them.

If there is a powder, that might be great because you could just mix it with the tube feed stuff, maybe.

I would check on the pancreacarb and I think that there is another one that is newer and similiar to pancreacarb that might even be better but I don't remember the name of it.
