Enzymes question

Terry - Emily is on Pancrecarb MS 4 as her "daytime" enzyme. She takes 4 or 7 with a meal/snack depending on what and how much she eats. We use the Ku-zyme only overnight.

Once again, I am enlightened and astounded by how many different ways we all use to get the same results. Never in a million years would I have thoughts that someone would use 2 pumps, one for the feeding and one for the enzyme. Wow. Does anyone else ever wonder if we'll ever all be on the same page with stuff like this? Whatever works for each of us, I guess!

Unless something has changed, you have to take enzymes with pregestimil and I suspect with any of the other formula's as well.

LOL,</end quote></div>

Yeah, Briceton was on Pregestimil for a bit and then switched over to EleCare. He still had to take enzymes with both........so I don't think (but not positive) a pre-digested formula is going to help nix the enzymes!

Thanks! Yes, it is incredible how differently we all manage CF. Just the amount of enzymes each kid takes even varies beyond what I would have thought, especially since Marissa is taking 3 with meals and 2 with snacks. I realize your little one is probably on a lower dose, but there are children Marissa's age that take 5-7 of the same ones she is on.

At least being on this board we can get ideas that are working for others to bring up with our doctors.

I was surprised that some did not know about Scandi-Shakes. They have been one of our greatest assets!
