Christian, What did they recommend regarding the abnormal cell growth in your esophagus? Also did you require anesthesia for the colonoscopy or endoscopy?

Thanks for your help,
I'll try finding the natural enzymes Risa suggested. I go to my chiropracter regularly & my next door neighbor owns a health foods store. So hopefully getting them won't be a prob.

My diet has always been low fat, high salt. But now I'm afraid to eat any fat. The last two months have consisted mainly of cold cereal, crackers and Carnation Instant Breatfast made with skim milk. Very bland!

I hate using my G-tube because the formula causes nausea, burning & I burp the formula up.
last month I had an endoscopy & CT scan. The endoscopy only showed GERD & a few polyps. I also had a CT scan, but haven't yet got the results. Hopefully I'll get them tomorrow from my primary care doc. He is a good doctor & listens well. If he can't help, then I will try a different GI specialist.
Nausea & poor eating have always been a issue with me, but now is worse because of more malabsorption pain. It seems like I'm eating a lot, but then it just goes through whole.

That is great that you see a chiropractor. Many Chiros sell Metagenics. My advice is to buy one bottle of the extra strength. You can easily break the pill with your fingers in half. Try one and see how you feel. If he muscle tests he can tell you how many you will need. I take one extra strength Azeo pangen (porcine) and one All Zyme double strength from Rainbow light with each meal.

If my meal has some extra healthy fat, I take two Azeo's and two Rainbow lights. I take them througout the meal.

I take a few bites first and then take the Azeo. I wait a few minutes and take the Rainbow. Then after the meal, I take the Azeo again along with the Rainbow. This is for a large meal. If I have lots of fiber and veggies, I take an extra Rainbow light.

For normal size portions or what I call a mini meal, I take one each. Since I know how to do my own muscle testing, I test to see if I need them before I pop them down. Too many enzymes are not necessary and will constipate you.

I wish you the best. Feel free to PM me anytime. If your chiropractor sells Standard Process vitamins ask him about BETAFOOD. There are two Betafoods. Just ask him about the plain one for you. This helps prevent gas big time. It is made from beets and it is great for digestion a heavy fat meal or just a little fat in your case. I would take one if I ate an avocado. All Standard Process vitamins are great.

I hope you can gain and get off your feeding tube in a few months. Ask him about Cliff bars for you.

Try and drink lots of water when you can.

I am excited for you. I cannot wait to see before and after pictures of you

I forgot to mention if you like the Azeopangeons. You will definitely save money 20 percent on Luckyvitamin.com It is best to test one bottle before buying a bunch at a time. There is a place on line I think holisticdoctor.com that sells the rainbow lights for a discount too. when I buy in bulk I go to these vendors online.

I use one bottle per week of Azeos and it takes me one month to use the Rainbow lights. You get more pills in the rainbow lights.

By the way if your friend can give more than twenty percent off on these enzymes, tell her I will give my business to her lol.

Ask your neighbor to buy some kamut or spelt bread. You mentioned crackers and if they are made with white flour or wheat that can be a problem for someone who is having problems with their stomach. Sounds like you can have food allergies especially since you have not been eating well.

The kamut or spelt taste delicious. I eat rye, spelt, kamut, brown rice, quniona breads and pastas. Oatmeal would be better for you than cereal. Read ingredients in the cereals. when you go to your chiro if they can test you through kinesiology bring a tiny sample of all that you eat. Put a sample of each in a different plastic bag. He will show you how certain foods can weaken you rather than give you strength.

If you are having pains, tell him to put the food on the area in which you have pain and see if this food weakens you or strengthens your body. You might even feel more pain if one of these foods are the culprit. I would even bring in a can of the feedings that you take. Maybe you can try another brand. I use to use Pulmocare. I would drink it. I gained weight if I drank a can after a meal.

If you can eat cooked vegetables, this would be a plus. If you want more advice on foods that can help you PM me or ask your neighbor. You have it made there. I hope they can help you.

Hi,

I hope you are feeling well. I just wanted to give you a different perspective-
natural enzymes are great, I take them and they do help alot. But they are no substitute for pancreatic enzymes. Natural enzymes aren't pancreatic enzymes. We have some enzymes in our bodies to digest food-what we lack is the enzymes that come from our pancrease. Just so you know, I think that you are on a dangerous track if you substitute your pancreatic enzymes for natural supplment ones. Now if you are going to take both-great, I hope you get some help from it. Like I said, I do take both. I just couldn't tell from your response if you were doing both or only taking the natural ones.

Lauren-for my colonoscopy/endoscopy I was sedated, I dont' remember any of it. They gave me Iv sedation. I woke up an hour afterwards. For my esophagus they upped my anti-reflux med dosage.

Risa, may I ask what kind of medications you take? And do you think any of them would be good for a 4yr old? If you'd like to keep it private, you can pm me. Thanks for all your information.

The enzymes that I take are pancreatic enzymes. Metagenics only sells to chiropractors but recently I have found them on luckyvitamin.com

You can do a search on all these enzymes. The CF enzymes work for many patients. I have had some troubles over the years so I looked into take the health food brands.

The enzymes that I take are strong and sometimes if I take too many I can tell the difference. In the past years, I took pancrease and ultrase and pancrecarb. They all worked but had some troubles on and off. It is since the transplant that I needed to change. The drugs can be difficult on the stomach. Thankfully, I found a great combination.

I did well on Pancreatin (company called Kal) and Metagenics by taking them just individually with meals. I never took these brands together. It was either one or the other.

It was only after my transplant that I started to look into adding a vegetable enzyme. The vegetable enzyme that I take is
<a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.amazon.com/Rainbow-Light-All-Zyme-Strength-Plant-Source/dp/B000EE9Y1S
">http://www.amazon.com/Rainbow-...-Source/dp/B000EE9Y1S
</a>
You can look up the Metagenics if you like. The enzyme is Called Azeo Pangen. here is a link
<a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://metagenics.com/products/detail.asp?pid=154
">http://metagenics.com/products/detail.asp?pid=154
</a>

These are two powerful enzymes when combined together. I would not take them with any other enzymes even if you find another natural enzyme.

Anyone who wants to try these both together, I would try one with a meal and then see if you need anymore.

When I first took the Azeo, I only needed a half of an extra strength pill. After this transplant, I found I gained weight when adding more pills to the meal by increasing the dossages.
