I was asleep, and set my alarm for the Spain/Germany match (worked the nite before). I'm glad Spain finally won! Woohoo--after 44 years! The better team definitely won!
And yes, Paula--those boys are hot, hot, hot! When the goalie for Turkey k his shirt off--I thought I was gonna have a heart attack<img src="i/expressions/heart.gif" border="0"> Yes, I am a dirty, ol' lady!

Enrique wasn't bad in that halftime show. Not my kind of music (Arcade Fire, Postal Servie, Frightened Rabbit), but kind of engaging.
Clubbie that I am, a paid full attention to DCU-LAG (I got up late about 10 minutes for it), which was a very engaging, fast match. I was thrilled Spain won the Euro, but it wasn't as engaging.
Also, these confederational championships bug me (Euro 2008, Gold Cup, Copa America, etc.) To me, they should lead into a world championship. But the World cup has other matches for qualification instead.
Overall it was a really neat tourney in a great part of the world.
