I'm impressed. I didn't know they had a good national team, but maybe that's just my memory of the women, who need some work. I would love to see more of Russia's premier league. I'm a Spartak fan, just based on their Use of Luzhniki, but I only ever see CSKA (UEFA tourneys).

But anyhow, I need to brush up on who's in at this point. Not sure who I am pulling for now.

The Russian?Dutch game was good! And i'm glad the Spanish beat the crybaby Italians!!! They were obviously the better team going into the penalty kicks, but as the announcer was saying--"...being the beater team doesn't help if you can't score the goal!" This will be interesting going into the quarter-finals! Now I can get some sleep for two days--untill Weds.!!!!

I reckon I will root on Spain. No real reason, although one of the USA keepers was at Rayo Vallecano (3dr division now, I think) for a while.

I think the Russians were too good to be true to say the least. I'm brokenhearted that the Oranje lost despite all their brilliant performances in the 1st round. I wish Russia goodluck in the coming games ( Russian girls are lovely <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif" border="0">).
