Fahrjr - to be safe I would contact the Dr. before the day of your procedure. If your hospital is like Mayo they "float" to the different rooms, so if they didn't bring it with them they may not be able to give it too you. Your transplant coordinator will be able to tell you how to contact that doctor if you're not sure who is doing the procedure. I remember the nurses calling the relaxation medication "twilight" if that helps.

Fahrjr's wife - Sorry, my husband doesn't post here. He's so private that getting him to talk to the social worker was like pulling teeth. lol - but, if you have a particular question you don't mind me asking him, I'll be happy to be a go-between.

There are a few other spouses that do post, just not in the transplant section. You might try posting in the adult forums. That should get you a few spouses. There are at least two that I can think of.

Dewgirl - thanks for the reply. I didn't have any specific questions. Just thought it would be interesting to speak with someone on the other side of the bed <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">. I wish both of you the best!! Thanks for sharing your experiences and helping us prepare for the long journy ahead!

I just had my three day eval. in Dec. It wasn't too bad. Alot of sitting around in waiting rooms waiting for the test to be done. I didn't like being around all the "sick" people, so I wore a mask most of the time. I still have to get my heart cath before I get my final results, but more than likely, I'm ready to be listed. Just be patient and take care of yourself.(easier said than done)
