Could you contact the hospital or go to a major chain pharmacy and see if they can help you with a different brand of enzymes, whatever they have on hand...

You all are so helpful! Thank you! I think I am just going to eat light tomorrow. I could probably use a low carb, low protein, low fat day. My enzyme need is pretty low anyway.....so my pancreas is not totally useless.

I HATE IT that I can not find an organized way to make sure that I do not run out of meds. There is just SO much involved with care that it is just HARD! I don't want automatic refills cuz sometimes you just don't need them to come and you pay for a co-pay that comes too early. I just don't need things filled on the button every 3 months. The financial part of it, the health part of it, organizing the medical stuff, paying the bills!! It is all TOO MUCH sometimes. I am just mad that I can't eat the way I want to on a special day. It sucks!

Sorry for the rant.....thank you all for you advice.

I don't know if this is helpful, but I'll share anyway... I went to a pharmaceutical discussion about enzymes once. They told us that enzymes are extremely shelf unstable -- meaning the depending on how long they have been sitting around they can be anywhere from 130% effective to only 50% effective. Over time, enzymes decrease in effectiveness significantly, so using fresh ones is very impt.

2 years is a lot -- my guess is that they are probably useless and should be discarded. Sorry.

yep, I know that they are very delicate and don't really last too long and that is a fact. My guess is that these are probably not too effective<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0"> Oh well! It is what it is....what can I do. I was distracted by being on IV's, bad PICC placement, starting inhaled Colistin with some added problems. All that extra stuff throws the normal routine into a tailspin.
