Backstory, I never have sinus problems of any sort, nor many headaches. Last week my sinuses started burning really badly, right in the center of my forehead between my eyebrows. It persisted for about 3 days then went away, it was a distinct burning feeling.
Tonight my forehead has been hurting really, really badly over my left eye. It basically is a dull (not burning) sensation, and feels like a dime width cylinder of pain that goes into my head about 3". It only hurts over my left eye, and hasn't stopped for 4 or 5 hours.
Is this what sinus pain feels like? What could be wrong? If it didn't hurt this bad, I wouldn't have posted, but even after taking my normal pain meds (for another condition) the pain is still easily 8-9 on the pain scale and has not budged one bit, which leads me to believe it's something that can't be helped by pain meds, OR it is too bad to be helped. Any advice? I have a very high tolerance for pain and this is pretty bad.
