Fantisy Hospital room

You guys won't believe the ACTUAL room that Jordan had at a local community hospital. We were moved there for his physical therapy/rehabilitation after his big spine surgery.

We had his hospital bed in there with all of the usual hospital hook-ups of course, but get this. My hubby and I had a queen sized bed to sleep in, a huge armoir for our clothes, a nice big dining table that our whole family could sit at, 2 big over-stuffed chairs that made into twin sized beds if we needed them, and many other little tables, and "homey" type things.

The bathroom was huge, with a walk-in shower and the hand-held shower head. Directly across the hall was a complete kitchen, which was stocked with most any kind of snack you could imagine. The frig was stocked with boost shakes, yogurt, sodas, candy bars, and many other things. There was an ice-cream machine and a coffee machine. The kind that coffee shops have, where all you do is push a button for coffee, cappuccino, whatever you want. They did laundry for me while we were there, and anything we needed, we only had to ask. All of these things were FREE. There was no putting change in machines!

The hospital is a one-level, big square type building, which is built around a nice garden area with a walk-way, and many little birdbaths, benches, and other nice features. It was like staying in a hotel. It was a wonderful place to recover, and it was peaceful. The entire staff was very attentive, but gave us our privacy if we wanted it. They let me take care of Jordan's treatments on our own schedule.

The hospital isn't just a rehab center, it has a full-service emergency dept., but they seem to understand that people need more than just medicine to feel good.

The responses are great!

I just thought of one more thing.
Maybe the room can have one or two light switched as oppose to 5.
A light dimmer would be great so t hat the nurses can dim the lights at nights.
