What? I thought it had already been submitted to the FDA? What have they been doing since the trial ended in February? I thought they were hoping for the second half of 2011 for aproval?!

they were looking at submitting for approval to the fda the second half of this year and hoping for approval next year.

i heard vertex was sending to cf centers all over the country so the sickest patients could start on it before it was approved by the fda.

my daughters fev1 level is now at 20. she is 17 yrs old and we are hoping for the drug to come out soon so she has a chance(without a lung transplant)

there is something on the clinical trials site about an expanded access for it. for fev's under 40% and i think people that were in the trial. i was hoping to be able to get it before the fda approval, but it's not looking that way.
