Fee for service?

Oh goodness- considering what a service you are providing... that is more than reasonable, esp compared to the 'percentage' that lawyers tend to charge. The work you do for people involves a LOT. These cases cannot be won by just making a phone call or two. It's a complicated system to take on and you provide a service that is incredibly valuable and needed... and you should not be expected to go broke doing it.

After all, after people win their cases they will be furnished with a means to pay their bills. It's only reasonable for these same people to understand you need to do the same, and for this to happen your organization needs to be self-supporting.

I wish you the very best!!

DH and I discussed this already and agreed on a $500 donation if won. I think that $50 or $100 sounds reasonable for someone who has been out of work/struggling with medical bills. Definitely charge a fee but allow enough time for the SSDI recipient to receive their first check.</end quote></div>

Amen! I agree<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Julie... Hey we should get together an chat, maybe we could do a co fundraiser together... that and I also wanted to offer that maybe we can help each other... My non profit helps families and patients living with CF, so if there was a situation where someone could not afford $100 (which I feel is FAIR)we could step in and help...
Hope all is well in your world...
