Feeding tubes

you say the weight loss is recent and that your blood sugars are on the high side, are you sure you dont have full blown diabetes now? that causes weight loss. apart from that, i still dont see a problem with your weight and it sounds like you have unrealistic goals. messing with tubes and drugs seems pointless, especially without knowing whats caused the weightloss. those things are reserved for the skinniest of the skinniest and you are far from that at the weight you are at now.

I agree with Kybert- I would get rechecked on the diabetes, too. I had stayed on the low side of my regular weight for a while (my BMI usually is around 23 too) and then lost 4 more lbs trying to control my b/s with diet until I got my meds.

My fasting blood sugar was fine- usually around 90- 100. My 2 hour was high, but my 3 hour was right where it should be before meals without my meds. So, not a bad case, but still, it has impacted my weight and how I feel.

Now, 2 weeks after getting my diabetes meds, I have gained 4 lbs back already! I feel a lot better and a lot less tired now ).

I am taking a pill called Prandin a half an hour before meals. I may have to up the dose for morning (we are giving it a month to check my numbers ), but the rest of the meals and the day are fine, though I do have low b/s if I forget to eat a snack in the afternoon (when I am most active).

I hope you do get it sorted out soon! It's good to be proactive, but I would sort everything else out first that could be causing your problems .
