Well, at least you now know what you are up against. I hope the meds do their trick with keeping everything under control. Good luck! Keeping you in prayer.

Thanks for all of your well wishes!

Melissa the med is called Keppra. Which one are you on?
She put me on Keppra because she says she believes it will have the least interaction with all my other meds. It has to be titrated up slowly. So far I am still having seizures but Mon starts and new level of the med, so hopefully it will help at a higher dose.

She also says it is directly caused by my cf. She says when you have things like massive hemoptysis, sugeries, and embolizations like I have had it scars the temporal lobe of the brain. The more scarring it gets the more it affects the seizures.
She says the scarring is from the lack of or the low oxygen levels that happens when I was going through all of my massive bleeds. She is going to do an mri to see how much scarring I have. I have to go back to see her the first week of Oct to do that and to get checked up on the doses of the med. I have my fingers crossed that it works at the new level I start on Mon.

Come to find out, I have had little seizures for about 4 years now and didnt know it until I had the grand mal. Then I started thinking back and realized that it has been happening for some time.

Sorry if this doesn't make sense, I am still having a hard time concentrating.

Take care!
