First PA culture

I think the first positive culture has hit us all the same way, and you need to let yourself feel what you need to feel. I hope Cassidy responds to the TOBI and you don't have to deal with this again for a long time.

I remember that phone call also. I hung up, cried and cried. Then I got MAD. Mad at CF. It does suck. Every bit of it. But, we get through it all...one step at a time.
Hang in there....hug your little one...the Tobi will work and more than likely she will have cultures again without the PA showing up.

I'm with you too. We first cultured PA a year ago, after a hospital admission for a non cf-related incident. Luckily we eradicated it.
I'm going through it again, however, as after being clear of it for a year, we just re-cultured pseudamonas......it is so devastating.
We were placed on Cipro - orally - and given a different drug - colistin - to nebulize. Last time we used TOBI.
It's scary and hard.
