Hello!
First off, good luck with your surgery!
As far as how mine went, it was as pleasent a surgery I have had. I was admitted one day, and then the next day I was out to Chinese buffet. =)
The procedure went very well, and I had minimal bruising or swelling. I had a little bit of dried blood under my nose, but other than that, I was doing fine.
They gave me the Ocean Spray nasal irrigation. (Not the juice - they made that distinction very clear. lol ) which is just a salt packet thingy that they put in a bottle that you squeeze up each nostril. At first I didn't like doing it, but now I find it quite refreshing actually. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
A few days after surgery my nose felt VERY dry, which was not pleasent, but the doctors told me I should use Afrin (I believe it was called). It's a nasal spray, but one can take too much of it, so I could only use it once or twice a day.
I believe that was my sinus surgery experience. I don't think I'm forgetting anything.
Good Luck!
ps. for brusing of any kind, my mum always puts on ALOT of caster oil - I know it's a laxitive but for some reason it has non-bruising properties, so that can help too.
