I've been drinking alot lately, but only about 1-2 beers a night. Being is I have a kidney stone, I'm doing all that I can to excrete it. But the day after I have a huge amount of gas. It's really uncomfortable. I've looked online and beer has no fat in, so what gives?

I'm not sure if this is what you have - but my husband (no cf) after beer or any other drink with gas has terrible stomach pains (he even faints) - upper stomach - this is due to gas in the drinks wich distended his stomach and give pressure to the opening of the stomach and also to upper chest - which gives pain in breathing and a bit to the heart. After visits to doc his been told he has gastro-oesophageal reflux - this can be caused by too much wait or nerves or - any pressure extra given to the stomach. He got a diet and Polprazol and it helped - and no beer however <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0">

I wish only got gas when I drank beer! Maybe it has something to do with the yeast or something? I drink a lot of soda, which also has no fat, but it can give me stomach aches and gas from the sugar (that's my theory, anyway). Although I can drink water and get a stomach ache, so maybe I have no clue! But if beer gives you so much gas, don't drink it. Or try a different brand or a light beer.

All signs point towards it being a cheap ass beer. I paid $13.77 for a case, Natural Ice. Next time I'm going to splurge and buy Labatt's Ice.
