My husband missed 2 weeks of work while caring for me & visiting me in hospital, etc.

He ran out of vacation time (had personal leave, not sure why his company didn't use it). Anyway, because he had days off w/o vacation time available, we had Family Medical Leave of Absence paperwork to fill out so his missing work wouldn't count against him.

So, I fill in what I can & turn these into the doctor for him to do his part...no big deal. So, I get word today that the papers are completed & that will be a $20.00 fee! I guess I was surprised that I was charged.

Anyone else have a similar story to this (being charged)?

I haven't been charged for CF related paperwork, but my daughter's pediatrician charges $5 each to fill out the health part and vaccination parts of camp and school forms. ~Juliet

Hubbies job made him take FMLA the last time Pay was in the hospital even though he had plenty of vacation and sick time and they didnt charge us.
