just to clarify...I have no regular health insurance and cannot afford it. therefore, I do not have a gyn and cannot afford one ( I loved the one I had, but alas, no more insurance). as for my cf doc prescribing BC, he would do that but the insurance I have would not cover it b/c it's not related to cf. I can't spare any money for BC without insurance covering at least some of it.

that was the reason for my questions...sorry to confuse!

also an another idea would be to learn how to chart your cycles. It takes some learning and patience but its worth it.
Once you get used to it you will know by your temperature exactly what your cycle is doing.
Try going to <a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.fertilityfriend.com/.">http://www.fertilityfriend.com/.</a>
You dont have to pay for it if you cant. Its free unless you want more features. But just the basics are free.
Hope this helps!!
P.S. I also recommend the book
"taking charge of your fertility".You will learn more than you can imagine about your body!! <img src="">

Erin,

Have you considered going to a local planned parenthood for birth control? You can get the pill there for a low cost and a free (I believe) GYN exam. As Haley said, a baby is way more expensive.

Best of luck!
