i've had a gtube for a little over a year now and still am too full when i wake up to eat breakfast, even though my feeds end 2-3 hours before i wake up.
Additionally, once you get used to the feeds, you can increase the amount that you do overnight to compensate for not eating much during the day. I started off with 3 cans (1500 calories) at 90 mL/hour and now am able to tolerate 5 cans (2500 calories) at 125 mL/hour.
I usually skip breakfast (which is fine with my doctor and dietician as long as I do my whole feed), eat a light lunch, and have a big dinner. I get more appetite and am able to tolerate more food as the day goes on.
good luck!
