G-tube this Thursday, any tips?

Update from FB --- Froggy update: We're out of surgery, in a room and she's doing great. No food or water til tomorrow though and she's pretty hungry.
And from her blog... I'll post more later, but right now I have to get back. She's on a morphine drip, so pain is minimal. Thank you everyone for your prayers and love.

Yay! We're home. Addie is doing great. The first thing she did when we got home was hop on her bike and go for a ride around the block. I cringed, but the doc said to let her be as active as she wants to be. Bending over and washing still hurt. I'm also concerned about C.diff. The doc said her poop might be weird for a while, but it was ashy and smelly in the hospital. Hmmm. I'm thinking if the poop isn't normal tomorrow, we'll go in and get her tested. I'm trusted mommy instincts and all the other parents/patients more than the docs sometimes.
We had a great hospital experience (as great as it can be, I guess). The nurses were excellent, very caring and quick to respond and they didn't make me feel like a jerk when I begged for coffee in the morning (for me, not my 4 year old!). Thank you everyone for your support and kind words. Elise
