I'm not sure if this will help or not. When Emily had her long tube (PEG...pre MicKey) we make onsies out of Pro-Net webbing. We just cut of a section of hte tube of webbing about as long as her torso. cut notches where her arms and legs were (approximately - the stuff stretches beautifully so you don't need to be exact) and kept the coiled tube under it. It kept her from walking o n it and mwssig with it. She was 20 months old when she got it. We did this when t he tube was not in use, though, as her feeds were only overnight.

Now she has her MicKey, and she does mess with it a little bit. SHe likes to see if she can open and close the tob all by herself. She also likes to squeeze her tummy muscles and see if she can make "juice" come out. Fun, fun! But, we don't cover it now. We do tape the med port on the extension tubing shut at night after her meds have been given. It has popped open more than once.

Good luck.

What about buying some small zip ties, looping up some of the excess tubing (close to the backpack, or somewhere out of reach) to shorten the total legnth of the tubing?
I know it would be a pain to have to cut the zip tie every time you wanted to clean the tubing, so maybe a regular kitchen tie would work, or kitchen twine???
