By the way i will pray that your pfts are better than ever, and if they are not it is ok they will come back up. It is probably this time of year. huh? It is one of the worst times for me. Do you stay healthier having your daughter home with you, even though i would assume that would cause you to be less energy efficient, i am sure you dont pick up nearly the bugs and colds that goes aroud in schools?</end quote></div>

Thanks so much- it worked last time <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0"> ! Yep, cold season is no fun.

I really think I do stay healthier- at least if we do pass something around in our house, we usually have time to recover inbetween before we catch something else (this year has been a different story though- gah). Several people I know have had that issue with their "no health issues" kids and school. We catch enough just with going to church and Walmart! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">

I agree with what everyone was saying but in particular like Amy hit on that it's the motherhood more than the pregnancy that's the hard part. And like other's illustrated with their awesome support systems...this is definitely the way to go. Being a cf mom and getting really sick is very hard on you and all of your family members. I think it's best if someone can come in the relieve some of the pressure by either completely caring for you or the child.

Okay now the reason I signed in to post to your message. No one had addressed the hemoptysis. I have hemoptysis since age 13. I've never had a large volume bleed but lots and lots of bleeding. The reason you may not know how hemoptysis is effected by pregnancy is becuase their is no right answer. The mother's blood supply doubles during pregnancy. This added blood either causes hemoptysis to increase or decrease according to medical findings says my cf doctor. They can not predict which way you will go. I became less of a bleeder. In fact for the first time in years I went months without bleeding. This triggered a wellness that was unsurpassed by any other health regimin. So for me it's either be pregnant the rest of my life (LOL) or get an embolization to hopefully relive my blood free pregnancy days. One thing my doctor also said was that hemoptysis rarely stays the same during pregnancy.

So it's a gamble - but expect either an increase or a decrease in blood. Just one more thing to add to the unknown list unfortunately.
