Insulin Question
Glad to hear he's going home!!! woot woot!
As for insulin... I'm kinda borderline so maybe I dont' count, but I personally didn't see any gain in weight from being on insulin (I use it very sparingly though or I plummet... more of a "sluggish" insulin response than none at all.)
I also haven't noticed an increase in FEV1, but for the years I was on it, I did hold pretty steady, so maybe it did help me maintain.
Best of luck! Its great that we can eat whatever we want and just "chase" it with insulin versus other diabetics who have to follow a strict diet. I keep that in the back of my mind whenever I get tired of the insulin needle. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">
