Well some good news is that they sent Grayson home on inhaled steriods. So no stay this time. Thank the Lord! Exercise is a great idea and both of us have started taking a zumba class at the YMCA on 2 nights a week and Pappy watches the girls. She has my personality and wants to plan everything out ahead of time. With CF we are totally out of our zone. I think she is going to the doctor to see if maybe he can give her a low dose of something. She was on something when Grayson was first born and couldn't take it because it made her feel funny. I think letting her call me to cry and complain is the best I can do for her, other then taking the girls for her from time to time. Someone told her that Grayson is going to be this way for the rest of her life and she just better get used to it. Of course that was a male and wasn't what she wanted to hear or needed to hear. Venting is good if the listener just doesn't say anything. LOL I think she actually needs to talk to someone in her same position, someone who would understand what she is going through. I am looking for a support group for her.

I WANNA BE A SUPPORT GROUP! I WANNA BE A SUPPORT GROUP! I know EXACTLY what Tiffany is going through. I hope her story sails along later the way mine did. The 1st 2 1/2 years of my son's life were spent in and out of the hospital. several times he was in twice in one month for at least a week each time. Noah hasn't been hospitalized since he was 3 years old.

I had a 4 year old at home, and felt sooooooo guilty about the amount of time I had to devote to Noah.We started a "girls day out." My sister takes my son every other Friday and my daughter and I do something together.

Excercise is a great idea, especially when Gracie's in the hospital. It gives you a break for a little bit, and gives your mind time to rest.

I'm glad Gracie didn't have to stay. I hope she feels better soon.

Well I am glad Grayson doesnt have to go in the hospital. I hope the inhaled steroid helps. I can understand how Tiffany is feeling even though Garran is a little bit older than Grayson. Some things never change. People will always tell you things that maybe you dont want to hear, or things that they just have no business saying.

Sometimes its ok to get a little dose of reality now and then, but a little tact is often appreciated.

For years I didnt have anyone to talk to about Garran because we didnt know anyone else with a child with CF. and I was grateful to find this site and connect with so many others in our situation or similar.

I can't really say what my coping mechanism is, I dont exercise like I am supposed to, I dont over eat or under eat...I simply rely on the fact that I know that God is in control, and things will happen for a reason. Even things we dont want. But in the end if we love Him and are called for His purpose, they will work out for the good.

This isnt to say I dont have times where I want to crawl away in a corner and cry, and sometimes I do. And then I feel better.

I hope Tiffany is able to find the support she needs and you as well. And I pray that Grayson is feeling back to herself and starts gaining weight again.
