Alyssa, that isn't a long post. You should read some of mine. I teach English so I like using words.

Great ideas here! I'm so motivated now. I hate it that our walk isn't until JUNE!

Heather,
Am I quoted in the fundraising packet?? I don't know. Yes, our family has been blessed with some generous donors. I don't think I work any harder than anyone else though.
Sharon, mom of Sophia, 6 and Jack, 4 both with cf

I feel the same way, but I continue to send out the letters and emails anyway. I feel people can give if they feel like it and if they don't want to do so or can't -- I'm not going to worry about it. They'll still get a letter from me with adorable (biased) photos of my child. The one thing I don't do is ask people in person again -- I hate asking and when I'm told no, fine -- but I won't be buying any cookie dough or pizzas for their child's fundraiser for school.

There are a few people who are very generous that I feel kinda bad about -- that I think they think I only contact them around walk time. So I make sure to email them or send them pictures, letters or cards at other times.

At our Great Strides meeting last month, we were told that the CFF would like Great Strides to become as big as "Relay for Life" -- heck, every year my coworker and a friend walk in that and I sponsor them so I don't feel as weird about it

I didn't check first and I just posted something similar. Check my post about fundraising ideas. I gave a few and was hoping to get a few back. Good luck!
