GSH/NAC

I figured there is no way I could see a difference in my lungs after two doses of Euro NAC.....

If someone else posted this, I would dismiss it immediately.....

But I have never had an easier time exercising on my eliptical as I did this morning. Granted, I have been exercising consistently for 2.5 weeks now. So I guess all of a sudden my endurance could have gone up.

But man did I feel different exercising this morning. Really different.

At worst, this is a huge endorsement for excercising and lung function. At best, this NAC stuff works quickly.

I'm still skeptical of the NAC stuff working quickly.

And I'm a strong believer in the placebo effect. So that could be it as well.

I'm curious to hear from others who order from Moss' company in Canada or Europeans who take Euro NAC. Let me know.

I can say that when I was drinking the mucomyst (Which was a 20% NAC solution)a month or so ago, I felt a difference in how much it opened me up, I was only on it for 3 days and sputum production soared for about a week. I was taking what come out be 6000 mg a day.

I'm thinking a mucolytic effect, my doctor didn't seemed too surprised though. I'm begining to wonder why it isn't prescribed more often, inhaled or orally.

I've been taking GSH for about 4 years now. I started taking it after reading about cf patients having much success with it. I have also read about NAC but have not tried it . I have read that taking NAC in high doses can be toxic , where as GSH isnt. I also kind of think that taking NAC is going the long way around to getting GSH into the body. Since it is GSH our bodies need why not just take GSH? Thats only my theory and i could be wrong, but i've been on it for a long time and have seen good results so i figured why mess with a good thing? I would suggest everyone do their own research about both and learn as much as you can before trying something new. Make sure whatever you decide is right for YOU.What works for one does not necessarily work for another. Here is a message board about CF and Glutathione, and on it there is a topic about NAC vs. GSH

My thought is that NAC prompts the production of glutathione which may mean that there is more GSH produceed at the site within the lung itself...Taking oral GSH may not actually get it to the site because some is lost through the digestive system...I dont actually know, they do say that no GSH is lost through the digestive system though. Anyhow, that's why I thought NAC may have better results. We arent nebulising GSH at the moment either though.

One of the problems with taking GSH orally is that it is harder for the body to absorb than NAC, I like the idea of taking oral NAC coupled with inhaled GSH.
