Hand Lotion

My hands are normally dry, but with this round of iv's they are drier then usual. I am wondering if anyone has any hand lotion that they truly prefer. I hate smelly ones & sticky. The only thing I currently have in the house is baby oil & lotion. I have been putting the oil on & letting it soak after bathing & then using the lotion in between, but my hands are just soaking it up faster than I can put it on.

Since I teach ceramics, I always have dry hands. This time of year they split too- nasty and sore! I found that Neutrogena hand lotion works really well! Its a little greasy, but it sinks in pretty quick. Here's a link with some helpful info. too.

If you ever get splits in your fingers, try the Liquid Bandage stuff. I think its basically superglue, but it works really well.

good luck Mel!

Eucerin and Aquafor lotions work best for me.. I have the same problem, my skin is so, so dry.. I put oil on after every shower... Tonight I put on Vitamin E that I am using on my scar I put it all over my face.. I am still dry...

stay away from any product that has alcohol in it.. that will dry you more..

Talk to you soon,

Jennifer

My hands and face get very dry in the winter. I didn't start using lotion for my hands up until a few years ago because I don't like my hands to have that "greasy" feel to it. So I am very picky. I have been using the Vaseline Intensive Care Healthy Hand Essentials. That seems to work pretty good for me. I don't really notice too much of an odor or smell to it.

There is a lotion sold at Walgreen that has Tea Tree Oil in it and it works great. It is actually found in the diabetic section but my household swears by it. I had bought it for Cory when he was new to the whole blood sugar testing and the build up caluses but we all use it on a regular basis

I use either Lubriderm, or an Aloe Vera gel. These types of oinments are really good for super dry, scaley skin (its also used on tattoos which tend to peel and get super dry). PLus there's no smell to them.
