Handicap parking

I have relatively good lung function but I did get a placard several years ago when I was in school and wanted to be able to park somewhat close to class instead of the parking lots at the edge of campus. It really comes in handy sometimes, especially since I don't have to pay the parking fee at the CF clinic's parking lot if you show the placard (saves me about $10 each time!).

I live in CA and we have a box you can check that says you have a disease or disorder that substantially interferes with mobility and then they wrote CF down. When I got it renewed I didn't have to get anything officially signed.
