He choked on peanuts and now has a congested cough

Yeah, I'd be a bit worried about aspiration pneumonia. If he's still wheezy in the am, I'd give a call to the doctor. I hope its nothing!!!!!

Yeah, I would be concerned he inhaled the peanut and now is forming a pneumonitis (inflammation). If he is still wheezing and coughing, I'd call the doctor. I'd better be safe than sorry...

I agree. Children under the age of five should never be allowed to eat peanuts because they can (and do) accidently breath them into their lungs. I hope he is okay, but I would get him checked just to be sure.

My DD tested negative for peanuts TWICE and actually ate peanut butter many times. She stopped eating them after an allergic reaction to a treenut (because of cross contamination). Long story short but after YEARS of testing neg to peanuts, she is now allergic to peanuts. IMHO, I'd discuss this with his doctor and consider testing again.

Long story short but after YEARS of testing neg to peanuts, she is now allergic to peanuts. IMHO, I'd discuss this with his doctor and consider testing again.
