He got the Call!!

Just to answer Busbie's question...he was listed last January. He had one false alarm a few months ago. i have been texting his girlfriend all morning, and he's doing great. They just took him off the vent, so he is breathing on his own! He is having a little difficulty taking deep breaths and he's in a lot of pain. He is trying to take deeper breaths and cough. He has also said a few words and gave the thumbs up to the camera! There are some new pictures on his caringbridge website, but they are from when he was still on the vent this morning. I will be seeing him again tonight and I have already told him that everyone here is excited for him and is keeping him in their thoughts and prayers!

That is great news that he's off the vent. I can only imagine how much pain he must be in. This is so surreal to me as i'm trying to get listed to go through this process myself.

Good luck to a quick recovery Ricky!! My thoughts are definitely with you!! Take care of yourself!!
