HI everyone. Just wanted to give you an update on Ricky. I got to see him today! His surgery lasted all night and finished around 7 this morning from what I understand. I saw him around 2 and he's doing great. He was opening his eyes and recognized me right away. Then he grabbed for my hand and was holding on tight! He is slowing being weaned from the vent, but no rush. The vent was at 40% FiO2 when I was there. I don't know much or anything for that matter about vents, but I think that's good. His biggest complaint was the ET tube in his mouth and how dry his mouth is. He denied having pain so that was good. I only stayed about 5 minutes because he was so sleepy.</end quote></div>
Since you have CF I am surprised that you were allowed in to see him. I would think that would be risky for him.
I'm glad he's doing well.
