Basically we were told that here in Hawaii,in order to qualify for assistance, we have to terminate the boys coverage under my husband.
This is how I understand the insurance system...please clarify if you can...maybe with websites if you have them???
When we get to the point of being able to "afford" the bills on our own and no longer need state aid, an insurance company will see that the boys were uninsured and can deny coverage for them, as they have a pre-existing condition.
At this point, I don't know if we have any other options, but I fear we may be making things worse in the future, than they are right now....if that makes sense.
