Julie,

That is also what led to Kayla's CF dx. She had three surgeries to stop them because they were happening weekly. The first two procedures were within a few months of each other, and it stopped them for about a year. Then they started happening again, and we had the procedure repeated. She has had once since then, but it corrected itself.

You are correct, I don't think it was painful when it happened. It just upset us so much when they would not reduce on their own and they would have to be pushed back in. It's not something that you want to have to do to your daughter<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0">

my daughter had rectal prolapse it started at 5 mnths old it was very small and not all the time drs told me it was a hemmoroid at 8 months old it got huge and became more frequent drs then said oh its rectal prolapse by 9 mnths old she was hospitalized for it because it would not go back in, they tried several attempts to put it back in that failed after 3 wks at one hospital i found a great surgeon at another hospital and had her transfered he did a special procedure under anestesia he cleaned out her bowels put an epidural in her back put the rectal prolapse back in and injected her 4 times w something that creates scar tissue. she had to stay sedated & on the epidural for 3 days and it worked shes 19 mnths old & i haven't seen it ever again thank god knock on wood that was a very long 4 weeks for us and i felt bad for her. i did the picture thing also and showed her dr that way they know exactly what your talking about and if it is they can try to nip it in the bud before it gets worse shes on miralax to it helps alot good luck, those internet pics bring back bad memories, but thats exactly what it looks like
