High Morning Blood Sugars

The last 3 monrings when testing my blood sugars they are in the 120's range. This morning they were 126. Yikes!! During the day my sugars doing down two hours after each to 80-120. My endo says I have boderline diabetes.
The only time before this when my sugars run this high in the morning is when i am on prednisone. I am NOT on prednisone at this time.
What is happening?? Also... my evening sugars are a touch higher as well before bed. Last night they were 140.... I had a 4 oz glass of orange juice 1 hour before testing. Normally my sugars are lower than that. Normally I need a snack before bed otherwise I wake up hungry or shaky.
Are my sugars changing and I need to eliminate the bedtime snack?? Bedtime sugars never seem to affect my morning sugars.... is that changing??
Would exercising in the eveing help?? I am so trying to stay away from insulin but is it possible I need to talk to my endo about starting a dose of insulin at night?? HELP!!

Did you mean to say 2 hours after meals your BSG is 80-120mg/dl?

Yes, that is what I mean... sorry!! I test my sugars two hours after a meal and they are 80-120. With no insulin.

To add to my previous post.... I had 6 oz of water this morning and my sugar when down to 90 from 126. Is is possible my sugars are up due to overnight dehydration??

Talked to Endo and she thinks my body is under stress. Just getting over yet another cold this season. Having some SOB when I wake up and dull headache... she thinks it may be a oxygen issue at night. She is going to recommend a sleep study and have me continue to monitor my blood sugars in the morning. I am also suppose to increase my water intake in the evenings and maybe even during the night.

All I can say is Yuck!! Sleep study here I come. May be time for some oxygen at night. Double yuck!!

Heh. You're testing better than I am!

Everything in the world affects your blood sugars. A 3-day trend is....well, very little data. If this keeps up for a month, though, it's worth checking blood sugars throughout the night. You may be experiencing "dawn phenomenon". On the other hand, you're still coming in below what my endocrinologist considers bad for morning sugars: 127. Ideally I'm in the 80-100 range, sure, but as long as I'm not in the 150 and above range, I don't sweat it. I examine what I ate the night before (keep a long on my iphone) and try to figure out what changed that I didn't compensate for.

You may be seeing the writing on the wall: diabetes is not like a switch and yours may now be slipping in.
