Hillrom Vest

I'd like to order a new vest, but after searching the website I could not figure out how to order it! LOL...I'm sure I missed something.

Anyhow, if you have ever ordered from them, could you tell me about your expirience?

Thanks a lot!

The new washable vest? I just called them up and requested they send us a new one in blue for DS. Received it a couple days later. As far as the skins -- I know a friend of mine ordered it via http://hillrom.skinit.com/

Think there's also info on the vests as well.

Oh wow. I was expected some long drawn out process. LOL So my next question:

Did your insurance cover the new vest, or was it out of pocket? (You don't have to answer the question, I'm just trying to get my ducks in a row)

Also I like the skins. My husband works for a sign company that does vinyl wraps on vehicles. He saw the skins and says he could do it at his shop, which is nice and will save us some money!(Now I just need to decide what I want)

One of my new years resolutions is to use my vest more; I like manual PT better, but the vest is easier on everyone! (I don't have to wake up early just to get chest PT before the hubby goes into work) So I'm hopping that sprucing it up a bit and reorganizing my area will help.

When Emily got her new vest last spring, HillRom sent it without any problem at all, along with replacement hoses. Replacement vests, hoses, etc are part of the lifetime warranty you have with HillRom- neither you or insurance should have to pay for it.

As far as I am concerned, it's not just a pretty new color for her vest, they made some pretty significant product improvements when they 'upgraded', so anyone that doesn't have one yet should definitely call!

Harriett--the pictures make the newer vest look so much more comfortable! The color just makes it prettier...

Maybe it is just me, but I don't care for the new vest. Yes it is softer and maybe more comfortable in respect to riding up, but I don't feel it works as well. I don't feel my lungs get the same amount of vibration/shaking. Anyone else feel this way? I have gone back to my old full vest for now, maybe I will try it again and play with the adjustments to see if I need it looser or tighter.

Emily's seems to inflate more across the back now that the shoulders can lay flat (no need for the shoulders to blow up) so she's getting really good vibration back there. Chest seems the same as before and we have more room to adjust than before (I like the straps for this one better and the shoulders have wider velcro panels so I was able to customize her fit better. However, she also sized up so the black one in the same size may have been similar in having more adjustment capability than the previous smaller size.) The hoses stay attached better than before, move with her- and she can actually sit in a chair with arms now.
