Hirschsprung's Disease w/ CF?

Hi everybody, over the last few months we have been dealing with Wade's bowel issues. He is going good now, but the last xray he had in ER got a report saying he should be tested for Hirschsprung's Disease. I read up on it, and it does sound like Wade......I suppose we will be doing some testing soon.

I was wondering, anybody have/had this? What's your experience w/ it, and did you have surgery?

Carrie,

I don't have any experience with Hirschprungs except that some docs have mentioned it to me as a possibility with my 4 month old. We go to see the GI on Wed and he'll be tested for CF and probably begin testing for Hirschprungs as well.
I'll let you know if I receive any useful information.

Take care,
Sandra

Hi! I really dont have experience with hirschsprung's disease. But when my son was born and had surgery the surgeon said it was either hirschsprung's or meconium ileus which would more than likely be cf. He said my sons mi didn't look like the typical mi that u see with cf....so they tested him and he did not have the hirschsprungs but turned out to be cf. I hope your sons testing is negative....good luck to you...
