I agree one hundred percent with everyone. Be careful if you start taking anything new by mouth. If you try more than two things at one time, you might not know if something is causing you any problems.

I mentioned before the book Energy Medicine by Donna Eden and David Feinstein. WHY do I love it so much?

For so many reasons. I learned how to energy test in ways that I did not know before. I know how to test for foods, vitamins and drugs that work for my body through energy testing. That is in the book.

My latest discovery- I would consider myself borderline diabetic. I took my glucose after one hour of eating one day and it was 143 (one hour after eating a high energy bar)

I practice the daily routine and traced all my meridians to the current time of day and after 8 minutes, I retested my glucose again to see a change and my glucose dropped nineteen points. After eight minutes that is pretty remarkable.

I did this for three days in a row to see if this was for real and every single time i had the same results. Before I eat, I do all of the energy routines that I mentioned.

My spleen energy is strong and that is essential for good digestion as the spleen and pancreas are directly related to spleen meridian.

I have the book now for Four years and I have read it over and over again.

Write to me if you want to learn more. You can get a forty percent discount on the book and other products from Innersource.net let me know if you need their number as it was set up for transplant patients to receive this discount or you can go to Transplantbuddies thank you page and take it off of there.

I went for my six month tx check up today and my PFT's are much higher. I would think after one year they pretty much stabalize but not in my case. I am two years out of my transplant as of this past July.

I think the Energy medicine, daily exercise treadmill, eliptical and weight training have helped me. I also do pushups and all the other fun stuff like dance (belly dance)

I have an acupuncturist who I see regularly.

I also have tried the Energy Medicine book and some exercises to help with things like headaches, cramps, constipation and gas pains and so on. I have really tried since transplant to cut down on the "extra" drugs I take since I am on so many right now.

For me the book and its exercises are amazing. I can tell a significant change in my heartrate or blood pressure when I do and do not do the exercises. I have actually checked my blood pressure had it be high - like 150/90 range and then did a few of the energy medicine techniques and checked it again within about 5 minutes and it had dropped to about 120-80 into a normal range.

I did want to add to that though on Risa's comment (mainly for Risa doesn't really pertain to this thread -- sorry) I would not so much consider yourself diabetic ... I would check your sugar one hour after eating an actual meal. My endocrine doc told me that for a normal non diabetic their sugars tend to peak around 150-160. Also to add the fluctuation of the sugar MAY be due to energy medicine but I have had my sugar vary as much as 20 points on the same machine literally within 2 minutes of each reading. I normally double check my sugar if I get a high reading.

I just wanted to put that out there.

Also to add for you Rhiannon. Please be careful if you start taking any supplements recommended on here. I tried several over the past few years pre transplant and several of them actually ended up hurting my lung function rather than helping it. I developed wheezing and so on with others, so just exercise caution and talk to your doctors about it.

Take Care,
Lindsey

Thank you Lindsey-I cannot prove what happened to me, but I have decided to practice the daily routine and trace my meridians before every meal. I have it all in my head and I can do it all very fast. If I am at a restaurant, I just practice the three thumps and tap my spleen points alittle longer. Great for digestion.

I was hoping you would see what I wrote. I only tested myself twice for three days and I was not aware that you can get a different reading. I have tried another type of enery medicine called EFT and that brought it down too. I am sure any energy technique will bring the body into better harmony and I have realized throughout this journey how powerful relaxation and balancing the body is.

I am so happy that you have also brought your Blood Pressure down.

I am sure that if someone practiced Tai Chi, they would have similar results. Yoga too.

We hear many success stories from others and we finally try it out on ourselves we become believers in all of these healthy alternatives.

The body in motion stays in motion and when we have any disease within our body, we constantly have to keep it as balanced and maintained as possible in order for us to stay well.

This is directed at Breezy and whoever wants to take this advice home-Start out slow and try and stay as consistent as possible with whatever you choose.

I have heard others on this board and just folks in general, when they start a wellness program of any kind, stuff creeps up like sore muscles, aches, pains shifting, stomach cramps from starting a new routine.

Perhaps you could keep a diary so you can better TRACK your symptoms and Benefits?
