How do you work your treatments around school?

We usually have to be to work before 8 and therefore DS needs to be at daycare shortly before then and we've been able to make it work with our schedule above. Earlier this summer he had tennis lessons right away, so we had to get him to daycare before 7:45, so he could have breakfast and be transported. Felt a little harried, but realized we were able to tweek our schedule for treatments, breakfast and not have to get up any earlier.

As mentioned before we do CPT and DS sleeps thru that and his nebs -- not so with the vest; however, I do know of a couple families who do the same OR they strap the vest on their child and they sleep thru it as well. Just start up the speed gradually so as not to have a rude awakening.

I have considered trying nebs for Emily while she is sleeping/just waking up in the morning, but hesitate on the vest then, since her dr. stresses to us each time we talk about CPT the importance of doing the huffing/coughing during her vest sessions. I'd worry that if she was sleeping through it she wouldn't get the full value out of the session, esp. if it was every day (she does occasionally fall asleep during the tail end of her nighttime vest session and I don't wake her up.)

We do have DS do huff coughing in between treatments. When he gets up, when we're driving home from school -- so we can gauge if he got some areas we need to work on -- if we need to increase his treatment time or number of treatments... The whole, trying to learn his cough issue -- is it post nasal drip, swallowing wrong or if he has something he needs to bring up...

Emily generally has to do it during her treatments since in between them she usually has nothing to bring up; she's only just now in the last several months starting to develop a mild, chronic cough (unlike many of the kids here) but it's still pretty 'dry.' She also only does two sessions a day when she is healthy; if she develops more of a cough, etc that might change of course (or her sessions might get longer, or whatever... who knows.)
