How many calories do you consume?

Prednisone has always kept my weight way over where it needs to be. For the record I'm 5ft but after my last blast of prednisone I went from 110 to 140 and as of yesterday I'm back down to 128. I'm cheering off every pound. Given, being a junior in highschool and maintaining a healthy weight as a cfer are two different things. I desperately wish they weren't though. (yes, I know this is the "adult" section. sorry)

Sorry for the long wait for my response!

Yes, it is an extremely thick shake. It contains A LOT of sugar and sometimes that much makes me shaky. It does give an awesome calorie boost...but you have to be able to tolerate it. I was wrong about calorie content. It is 2200 calories per drink if you mix it as the directions state.

You may want to check with your doctor first too, especially if you have CFRD. It does contain a gret deal of sugar and may mess with your insulin levels....not too sure about that one, I don't have CFRD.

You could also think of Scandishake as an alternative boost!I guess it will be lighter in formula since it contains 435 calories in powder and when you mix it with milk it can reach 700 calories...It is available on many tastes!i use chocolate <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">
