LOL! I have already gone through a package of pantyliners, and some days those aren't even enough! I drive DH crazy b/c I'm always telling how much I'm leaking. Crazy stuff.

Kegel exercises everyone! I had no leaking probs w/ Logan but do leak occasionally w/ this one, usually during a coughing attack. And oddly enough it usually happens on an (almost) empty bladder, not a full one.

And of course it is JMO but I would never have a c/s just to have them tighten things up. There are effective non invasive treatments. And that is something you'd have to discuss with your OB ahead of time because it is a different surgery all together. They could probably do it at the same time but it wouldn't be a spur of the moment thing. And to need surgery you'd have to have some testing done before hand to make sure surgery was actually warranted (remember every surgery carries risks). Here's a short abstract you can read about the surgery at the same time as a c/s : http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12698778

There are different reasons for urinary incontinence. It could be weak pelvic floor muscles or it could be physical issues with the urethra or it could be the position or tilt of the bladder. Thankfully, I had no leaking during my pregnancy, nor afterwards, but I didn't deliver vaginally either. And of course there are surgery options to fix severe UI after pregnancy, but you usually won't be offered that option unless you are through having children.

I guess for now, keep those pads handy! Poor thing. At least you're taking it all with a smile.

ahhh the joys of pregnancy! start doing kegals - 100 a day! they really do help!
i leaked while pg w/ alexa. it took awile to get things back to normal after having her and she was a 5 lb baby!
after hannah - holy heck! for the first week i had no sensation at all. i would just pee myself, never even felt full or anything! i am now 4 weeks post partum and pretty much only wet myself if coughing hard or at the end of the day when i am tired. this has been the worst part of recovery. people tell me how good i look for just having a baby and i feel like saying "thanks but i wet myself several times a day"
