How many pharmacies do you use?

I always think that saving money is worth the inconvenience. I use CVS mail order pharmacy and now the local CVS can also do a 3 month supply. I have to get my adeks through a CF pharmacy though.

IMHO.....with ALL of the meds we have to take, the only way to stay sane is to keep a list of meds at all times. Check them all before you go to clinic to see if you need refills. Call well in advance of needing them and get a confirmation number. Unfortunately, it is just a matter of having to be super organized AND following up. I will deal with an inconvenience to not deal with co-pays any day. I hope you figure out something that works for you.

We actually use our local CVS for everything except his e-flow Tobra and HTS.

The Tobra is compounded and comes from the pharmacy that provides the e-flow, and they give us HTS for free so no ready to buy it <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Beyond that our local CVS has been great, we have an occasional confusion but they know us & our family and go out of their way to assist when things are messed up.

Side note: a month after bringing M home, I contacted CF Services via their websites 'contact us for more info' option. Gave all our information and never heard a word back from them. At this point, it would take something pretty big to get me to leave CVS. They have even called around to other pharmacy chains in town to locate things like vitamins if they couldn't get hold of them for some reason.

IMO, being the worrier that I am, I'd be dealing with the pharmacy that stresses me out the least and if I had to deal with the base pharmacy, I'd go ballistic. Is there any way you can stop buy and talk in person to a human there -- maybe call ahead and indicate your issues/concerns and see if they can work with you?

We have a relative who is a pharmacist who lives 90 miles away and indicated while he'd LOVE to have our business, he'd be concerned with issues relating to shipping the tobi and pulmozyme during the winter. And I guess I'm perfectly happy with our local pharmacy, one less thing to stress out about.
