How many pharmacies do you use?

We too had a horrible experience with CF services pharmacy. Alot of the same experiences Amy described: wrong address, not getting the correct amount, or waiting for "insurance"clearance. It was a nightmare each and every month. I complained to management almost monthly but nothing was EVER done. New month, same thing.

I had finally switched ALL of Cory's meds to Walgreens and it was the best decision I ever made. No hassle, no waiting. As Cory's health declined they did everything to accommodate him. The pharmacy manager made sure Cory never had to wait in line, always called if there was any delay in medication.

The day Cory passed away...The Walgreen manager even delivered an over the counter medication his doctor called to see if they had....I could never state enough great things about them

Right now, I've got two pharmacies. I have our local hometown pharmacy, which is good, because they're focused on their customers, and willing to order anything I need, that they don't have. I have the local Wal-Green's for the middle of the night/weekend meds that are called in. Anyways, as long as I've been getting meds for any issue, not just CF, I would rather deal with my local pharmacy then a chain one, ANY DAY! The only downside I've seen, is that sometimes they have to overnight the meds, and they don't always make it in, when they say they should.

Anyways, good luck!! I hope you can get something worked out!

I use two in town--Fred Meyer's and Soldotna Professional Pharmacy. Fred Meyer's is open later, but SPP carries some of the drugs that Freddie's doesn't. I am thinking about doing a mail order one to lessen the cost though...
