I'll have more on their site to find information regarding BID dosing...I briefly reviewed the site and didn't find that information anywhere. DD is almost four...perhaps not worth increased irritation risk in her smaller airways at this point...</end quote>

Did you look at the prescribing information? Or just the glossies on the website?

From the FDA approved prescribing information (and I stand corrected - it's 85% and above, and FVC not FEV1)

OK clearly there is a fail when it comes to posting images within threads.

Anyway, the PI is located at http://www.gene.com/gene/products/information/opportunistic/pulmozyme/pi.pdf

Look at Table 1

"The data suggest that...twice daily dosing may be required in the older patients. Patients with baseline FVC > 85% may also benefit from twice a day dosing (see Table 1)."

Okay, I am going to show this to my doc at my next appointment. I fit both of those criteria. But, when I recently asked him about taking it twice a day, he told me the benefit does not outweigh the cost of the drug :/

Also, does anyone know anything about taking pulmo with HS? I've heard some people say you need to space them apart, but the people at CF clinic didn't know much about this.

He's not paying the cost of the drug!!! Why does he care?

I hate when docs do this.

I have read, but Im not sure where...That hypersal and pulmozyme should be separated, something about the hypersal breaking down the pulmozyme and reducing its effectiveness...And also something about pulmozyme working better when its in your system at night

My son is once a day. He does his hypersal 2x a day. Once in the a.m. and once he gets home from school. The Pulmozyme is done between 8 and 10 at night so there is always a break between the hypersal and his pulmozyme.
