Hi,<div> I haven´t post here for a long time. My husband has CF diagnosed as an adult (33 years old). He is now 39 and in very good health. 85-90% FEV and only S. Aureus sensitive to every antibiotic in sputum. Only two flare ups a year treated with oral antibiotics. He goes to a cf clinic here in Spain and he is getting a cf scan every two years to see if there is any progressión of the disease (he has mild bronchiectasies). They haven´t shown any changes over since the diagnosis. I am a little concerned over the amount of radiation that he is getting. I would like to know how often do cf patients usually get cf scans, and if the protocol for getting this test is different in the US. </div><div>Thank you</div>

Like the two answers before me said the protocol for X Ray is once a year.. <div><br></div><div> That being said every patient is different.. In my case, since I got diagnosed with Mycobacterium Abscesses, I have a CT Scan every 6 mos & am sure by this point Im glowing lol ..
