How old was your child when they got the Vest?

Emily was 18 months old. She had to measure 19 inches around the chest.

I'm not sure if a vest would be harmful to such a little one or not, but, I do know that we really loved doing CPT manually on Emily at that age. She almost always slept through it and it kind of became an unwinding time for us, too. Whoever did her pt got to pick the tv channel and sit in the comfy chair. I kind of miss that! lol!

Nolan was 6 MONTHS old! (is it me you were thinking of?) He was big enough for the respirtech 18 inch one, though I found out that they do make one that is 16 inches! It's been a lifesaver and that added with pulmozyme seems to have done the trick to help get rid of the Pseudomonas that we've been fighting.

He loves the vest and falls asleep when he does it. I just hold him and he sucks his thumb and goes right to sleep.

I was told that he was the youngest that they knew of locally.

Fight for it, you can get it sooner than you think. We have to pay 20% of it, which after the insurance contracted rate comes out to about $2000, but they are letting us do a payment plan. I really do feel like it does a good job at helping to loosen things up and since he's so young, I'm hoping that he won't fight it later, as it'll be all he knows!
