Human Growth Hormone (HGH)

I brought this up with my doctor (who I am not very fond of) and he said he would never prescribe it to me. I asked why... he said "the negatives outweight the positives." For some reason I don't think he understands the positives it could bring. I don't know much of the effects on people with CF, but I think it could make us healthier/stronger/live longer, etc. Yes there are some cases where they said it caused an increase cancer risk, but I've read things that say it didn't either. I've read that they give it to AID's patients, and since we also have a compromised immune system (or w/e) I think it should be used as treatment for those with CF.

Does anyone have any links to studies about HGH and it's treatment with CFers? I couldn't find anything, but when I was looking thru old threads someone mentioned that a clinic in Texas or something was studying it?

I've read on here about people saying they received HGH from their doctors and I mentioned this to my doc, and he said no doctor in the US/Canada is prescribing HGH as a treatment for CF. I told him people have told me that they have, yet he just denied it.

Any tips/information on where I could find info on HGH and CF?

My sons' doctor has spoken to them about it. Since they have just recently began to grow and gain weight (after being so sick), we decided to wait a while before starting up. The doc said they will have a quick growth "blast", then level off with HGH. Now, after hearing from others, I'm curious. It sounds interesting.

I took steroids when I was 21 years old. I have been working out since I was 15 and weighed 150 and no matter how much I ate I couldn't gain weight. I went from 150 - 180 in about 6 months. I took sustanon 250, trenbolone acetate, testosterone cypionate, anavar, and nolvadex for pct. There are many many people in this country that use steroids, and I honestly NEVER felt better when I was doing so. My appetite was HUGE, I was gaining weight I could breathe like I had a new set of lungs. I felt like I didn't even have CF. Here are some before and after pictures too

(warning, I have my shirt off lol)

Id have to agree....i took sus 250 and could see a decent gain in just two weeks.

I live in OZ so the doc wrote me up a 3 month supply as a booster.

do you know anyone who actually uses sus 250 and what their gains were?

I took Hgh when I was 15 and stopped around 17 due to a few forced changes in my endocrinologist. I would still be injecting if it weren't for the changes. My insurance covered a prescription for humatrope so expenses weren't really an issue for me. Prior to starting i was tested for risks of cfrd and other potential risks but everything came back as a perfect candidate for it. When you start taking it, you won't see results for a couple months but once it builds up in the system it honestly fixes a lot of problems. I gained around 30lbs (without any diet changes) and about 9 inches in height. I'm currently considering going back to an endocrinologist to see if i can start humatrope or some kind of Hgh again because I think i still have some growing left in me and want to maximize my body height and weight. I encourage any young cf patient to safely try hgh. The stuff worked for me!
